This week has been a hard one for me. I have been upset about issues
that are pretty much out of my control, but have been crying myself to sleep,
and waking up miserable all week, and although I tried to hide it, my friends,
co-workers and Mike knew something was wrong. I finally broke down and
told a few friends what is going on, and tonight I told Mike. I feel
better, not 100% because my problems are no where near being solved, but better
for getting it off my chest and not having to work at hiding it anymore.
You know, I think a lot of my stress is because my birthday is in a few weeks -
I am going to be 33. Thirty-freaking-three, and I feel that I have not
accomplished much of anything with my life. So that just magnifies
everything else going on - does that make sense?
These past two weeks I have gotten so many snail mail goodies in the mail, as
if a bunch of you KNEW I would need some cheer, and it worked, thank you all!
(click on the photo to be taken to flickr see more details).
My
Haremail
gift from
Joyce
arrived - a handmade wooden bunny and some mittens (the mittens which thankfully
I will not need for awhile since spring has finally arrived here in Maryland)
I hope she likes what I sent as much as I like what she sent me.
I love the stuff in
Yvonne's
store, and I bought this beautiful pouch, and she also sent a gorgeous denim bag
with a white flower on the front, and lined with the same fabric the pouch was
made from. I love it, and have already received several compliments on it!
Leslie
sent me some brads to play with in my collage and a hand made frame, that is
just lovely, and I already know what photo I am putting in it and brining it in
to my office.
Marieke
sent me a wonderful little package all the way from Holland filled with some
great goodies. A wonderfully scented bar of soap in a beautiful drawstring
bag, a lucky clover plant kit, and, a great handmade flower keychain.
Kathleen
sent me a book she came across that she thought I would love (and I do) - a
picture sourcebook for collage and decoupage. It was wrapped in the
most wonderful tissue paper.
Pinky
sent me some great colorful cardstock and some adorable luggage tags, which I
can use for an upcoming trip to New York City this fall (hehe).
Lastly, but not at all leastly (yes, I know that is not a real word),
Amanda
sent me a pretty card with an amazing smelling sachet inside (not in photo, in
my dresser drawer!!)
Thank you everyone!
