Well, the move went well. I promise to have
some photos up on Flickr soon, but for now I will tell you that we have so much
stuff. If we had one more stitch of furniture there would be no place to
put it. We have 2 of everything, TVs, computers (actually since we are
both such computer geeks we have more than 2), we have some duplicate DVDs, an
unbelievable amount of that Glad disposable Tupperware stuff. His couch,
my coffee table, who have never met previously seem to go together wonderfully,
and best of all, we seem to go together wonderfully as well. Amazing that
we can wake, commute, work, lunch, live and sleep together and still not have
enough of one another. It is wonderful and I am extremely happy.
The actual moving day went quite well, the movers
took longer than we had hoped, but it was a relief not to move ourselves once we
realized how much stuff we each had. Mike's dad was here and helped out
unpacking and moving some of the things we did not trust the movers to take.
It was a nice visit, but too short. He will be back at Thanksgiving and it
will be nice to have him see the new place in some semblance of order rather
than boxes everywhere. I have to admit that I did do a lot of unpacking in
the first 24 hours - I was unpacking as the movers were bringing stuff in.
At any rate, we are settled now and it feels like home already.

I have not had much time to collage for fun.
I am working on some art and design for a band in the UK called The Bright
Space. It is coming along nicely. You can see the coming soon page
here.
I also had some custom collage orders, which have been so fun to do. I am
plotting what I want to do for Holiday Cards - so I have been spending time
looking through my stash of antique papers to get ideas. Another thing, so
many people, mostly in person, were having such problems with my site "paperscissorssoul"
- I think there were too many S's in it and no one could type it right.
So, I renamed the site to
Paper Relics.
Of course the paper scissors soul link still works and I will keep it for a
while, but I have had a much better response to paper relics as the site name,
and it seems people have an easier time accessing the website. Which, of
course, meant I needed a new logo, so that has been time consuming too, I wanted
it to be great. I even made another font from the text of an add from a
magazine from the mid-1800s. I hope you all like the logo too!
